Description:
Develops and manages commercial loan portfolio that meets established lending requirements and provides maximum profitability to the bank at minimum risk. Responsible for interviewing loan applicants, collecting and analyzing financial and related data to determine the general creditworthiness of the prospect and the merits of the specific loan request. Establishes and negotiates when necessary, terms under which credit will be extended, including the costs, repayment methods and collateral requirements. Monitors loans up to credit lending authority limit. If over personal lending limits, makes recommendations to superior or credit committee, if appropriate. Monitors loan repayment activities and takes necessary action to collect from past-due accounts. Develops new business by contacting prospects and customers and cross-selling bank products. Will be responsible for commercial loans in non-performing status including workouts and/or liquidations. Participates in community affairs to increase the bank's visibility and to enhance new business opportunities.
Requirements: :
Well developed interpersonal skills to represent the bank in a positive manner. Must be able to demonstrate a high level of problem solving and organizationsl skills. Ability to communicate efficiently, effectively, and directly, both orally and in a written fashion, with clients in a productive mode. Willingness to work extended hours and travel as required. Effective as a team member and when working independently. Must be a self-starter. Must be able to use a PC effectively.
